A Proud Member of the Northwest Motorsport Family
Being a Northwest Motorsport family member is all about upholding H.I.L.T. values. That’s Honesty, Integrity, Loyalty, and Trust. We pride ourselves on being honest, treating people with respect, and being passionate about our work.
Andrew Louangphakdy is one member of our team that takes these values to heart! We want to take an opportunity to thank Andrew for all of his hard work and dedication. We also wanted to sit down and ask him some questions about himself and life in the Northwest Motorsport family!
Sitting Down with our Employee in the Spotlight: Andrew Louangphakdy
Andrew is not only a fantastic Parts Manager at our Lynnwood location but a beloved member of the Northwest Motorsport family. However, there’s a lot more to Andrew Louangphakdy than that. Let’s take a moment to sit down with one of the people that makes Northwest Motorsport the best place to buy a used vehicle in the Northwest!
Q: Describe an average day at Northwest Motorsport.
Andrew: An average day is full of spontaneous and sporadic events that keep the day interesting! Each day is a new adventure with fulfilling interactions and forming new friendships.
Q: What is the most rewarding part of working at Northwest Motorsport?
Andrew: To me, working at Northwest Motorsport has shown me how a family bond can be created at work. The comradery of each and every employee, regardless of which department, roots itself so deeply that it’s easy to stand proudly behind a company. I’ve never been so happy to wake up each day, ready to come to work, knowing that the day to come will be a great one.
Q: If you could pick one aspect of working at Northwest Motorsport to write a book about, what would it be?
Andrew: The company’s motto HILT – each and every aspect of Honesty, Integrity, Loyalty, and Trust goes so far. Not only at work… but in life. Anyone who is willing to put thought and effort into this concept will be able to walk through life with a much more confident demeanor.
Q: What do you like most about working at NWMS?
Andrew: The atmosphere of this company is very refreshing. Every employee plays a key role in the company’s process and takes pride in their jobs. Not many opportunities arise in our lifetime where we are not only happy but proud to work where we work.
Q: What’s a secret passion you have that most people don’t know about?
Andrew: I have a strong motivation to not only better myself but those around me. Being able to work under some of the best in the industry has allowed me to learn how to better sharpen my work habits and my people skills. I’m learning many skills that I will take with me everywhere I go in this life and could not be more grateful.
Q: What’s something you’ve learned about yourself from working at NWMS?
Andrew: The way you view yourself carries over onto those working around you. If you are having a bad day, those around you could easily sway into the same type of mentality. However, the happier and more positive you are, the more uplifting you will be toward those around you. That extra smile you give could be just the thing someone needs to brighten their day. So smile bright!
Q: What’s the best advice you’ve ever been given?
Andrew: “Think before you speak”. Far too often, we get ahead of our thoughts and we speak without considering what we are actually saying.
Q: What would you tell yourself at age 13?
Andrew: Don’t ever give up, you will ALWAYS be able to pick yourself back up. The obstacles you face are only preparing you for the future, a future that will be as bright as the following day.
Q: What’s one thing on your bucket list?
Andrew: I would love to see the Northern Lights in person. Also to be able to swim in exotic waters in a place like Molokini Crater is something everyone needs to do.
Q: If you could change one thing about the world, what would it be?
Andrew: I actually put a lot of consideration on how to answer this question without sounding like a beauty pageant contestant. Being from Asian descent and seeing firsthand what world hunger is like, in a foreign country, I’d have to say end world hunger.
