The newest 2022 Ford F-150 trucks, which are part of the 14th generation of the Ford F-150 series, offer seven different trim levels including XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, Limited, and Tremor. Each of these trucks comes with a 10-speed automatic, regardless of the trim level or engine. The biggest change in the 2022 F-150 compared to previous years is the discontinuation of the 3.0L diesel engine. Despite the loss of that powerful engine, there are still multiple engine options that perform proficiently in these new rides. The engine options included in the 2022 F-150 are the 3.3L V6 (290 horsepower), 5.0L V8 (400 horsepower), 2.7L V6 (325 horsepower), and 3.5L V6 (430 horsepower) The towing capacity on these trucks span from 5,000 pounds to 14,000 pounds depending on the specific engine chosen.
There are three different truck bed lengths including 5.5-foot, 6.5-foot, and 8-foot lengths. All the bed options are 21.4 inches deep and 51.1 inches across their wheel wells, regardless of the length of the truck bed.
